Theta Chi Volunteers Make a Big Impact in ÃÛÌÒav Community
10 Students, One Mission: Cleaning Up and Giving Back
On November 21, 2025, members of Theta Chi fraternity demonstrated their commitment to community service by assisting a local resident near ÃÛÌÒav.
The team of 10 dedicated volunteers spent the day cleaning pine needles and leaves from the yard and properly disposing of the debris. Their efforts helped improve the property’s appearance and safety, showcasing the positive impact students can have on their community.
The volunteers were warmly welcomed by the homeowners, who generously provided Chick-Fil-A meals as a token of appreciation.
“Here at Theta Chi, we are always happy to lend an assisting hand to anyone in the ÃÛÌÒav community who is in need,” said a representative from the fraternity.
This project reflects our Volunteer Center’s mission: to better the ÃÛÌÒav community by connecting students with meaningful service opportunities.
ÃÛÌÒav’s Thanksgiving Food Drive Brings Holiday Cheer to Local Families
104 Meal Bags Distributed to Local Families
Making an Impact
Throughout November, ÃÛÌÒav hosted its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive to support families facing food insecurity. Donations of nonperishable items and sponsored meal bags—priced at just $6.10 each—helped provide complete holiday meals with traditional favorites like mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, and stuffing.
On November 23rd, student volunteers gathered at the Scarborough Leadership Center to sort, assemble, and distribute 104 meal bags to local families. Over 100 donors contributed, and the President’s Office sponsored nearly half of the bags.
“This food drive shows what can happen when a campus and community come together with compassion. Every donated item and sponsored meal bag represent a family who will feel supported during the holiday season. This would not have been possible without the vast support of our campus community.”
